Be Safe Not Sorry – Is Your Appearance in Safe Hands?
When you choose to buy a cosmetic procedure you are placing your trust and your appearance in the hands of the person performing the treatment, so it’s critical you choose the right clinic.
Is Your Appearance in Safe Hands?
Would you let a hairdresser with no experience near your hair? Of course you wouldn’t! Did you know that non-surgical Cosmetic Treatments like Botox and dermal fillers can be provided by anyone and are regulated under the same law as ballpoint pens and deodorant cans?
Although they are medical in nature they can be practised by anyone, anywhere, which means you’re just as likely to be treated by a beautician as you are by a trained healthcare professional.
At Medispa S10 we consider this absurd! Which is why we only have Save Face accredited professionals performing treatments at our clinic.
Cheaping out on treatments can have grave consequences
Are shockingly cheap Botox and lip fillers tempting you? The phrase “too good to be true” has never been more apt. Low price treatments only mean one thing; many corners have been cut in order for the practitioner to be able to offer these treatments at such a low-cost.
Continue reading and you’ll think twice about opting for cut-price treatments.
Rachel’s Story – The Real-life Consequences of falling into the wrong hands (via Save Face)
“Earlier this year, Save Face led an investigation with BBC 5 Live which shone a light on the unscrupulous practice which is, sadly, still prevalent within the non-surgical cosmetic industry. The focal point of the show was about the hellish experience of a lady called Rachel who came to Save Face for help after having a treatment with someone she believed to be a nurse and a reputable practitioner.
After spending over £600 she was left scarred, bruised and in emotional turmoil having discovered that she had not been treated with the product she wanted and had no idea of the suitability, side effects or efficacy of the product which was actually administered. Left in complete isolation and feeling like she had nowhere to turn she contacted Save Face for advice and guidance. Upon investigation, Save Face quickly discovered that the practitioner was in fact not a nurse and had been illegally posing a fully trained aesthetic nurse prescriber since 2010.”
Medispa S10 has been registered and accredited by Save Face and we fully support industry regulation. We prioritise safety, quality and high standards of treatments. In order to become accredited by Save Face, ALL practitioners and premises are individually assessed and inspected against their strict regulations.
